Purpose of the Pembroke Park Community Events Page
The Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page is a feature of the Town of Pembroke Park’s website established for the purpose of allowing the Town of Pembroke Park and members of the greater community to publicly post information regarding arts, entertainment, recreational, and civic events of general interest or benefit to the Pembroke Park community. Proposing events for posting on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Event Page constitutes participation in a limited public forum.
Scope of Town Oversight
Though the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page is moderated to ensure that events posted comport with this policy and applicable laws, the Town of Pembroke Park neither endorses nor verifies the accuracy of the information posted. If an entry includes a link to an external website, the Town does not control or review the content or operation of that website, and does not guarantee the authenticity, accuracy, appropriateness, or security of the link, website or any related content.
Procedure and Standards for Event Posting
Persons wishing to propose that an event be posted on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page shall provide the event title, date(s), time(s), and location, as well as name, e-mail address, and phone number. anonymous or incomplete proposals shall not be posted. All events proposed for posting on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page shall be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office, who shall review all event submissions for conformance to the standards set forth in this policy. Items submitted for posting on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page shall be reviewed during business hours, on an ad hoc basis, as the Town Clerk’s Office schedule permits.
All required Town permits must be obtained before the event may be posted on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page. Events submitted to the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page known to contain any form of the following shall not be posted or shall be removed.
- Profane language or content;
- Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
- Sexual content or links to sexual content;
- Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
- Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or
- Content that violates a legal interest of any other party.
The Town reserves the right to restrict or remove any content or event that is deemed in violation of this policy or any applicable law.
The use of and/or reliance on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page presents risks, some of which are unknown. Persons assume any and all risks associated such activity, and shall hold harmless the Town of Pembroke Park and its employees, elected officials, and agents from any claim related to such use. Persons requesting posting on, using, or attending events posted on the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page shall hold harmless the Town of Pembroke Park Community Events Page and its employees, elected officials, and agents from any claim that the content of the post contains defamatory content, violates another’s privacy, and/or violates any applicable law. All information submitted to the Town is subject to public disclosure under the Florida Public Records Act and/or applicable federal law.
