Building DepartmentOur Building Department has a number of responsibilities. Number one is to insure that each client receives courteous and quality attention, also to inform them of any new changes in the Florida Building Code. We enforce the Florida Building Code; this helps the Town be safe and more secure. Each contractor must register with the Town, showing proof of their qualifications prior to obtaining a permit for construction. Working together with the contractors and residents insures that all construction is completed according to the plans and guide lines of the Florida Building Code. Other responsibilities include processing permit applications, plan review, issuance of permits, inspections on all phases of construction, sign variances, and site plan review.
